Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of AskAven (a product of Aven Academy / Kartexa). By creating an account or using AskAven, you agree to them.

1. Who can use AskAven

• The free plan is for individual students and teachers, verified by a student/teacher ID card at sign-up.
• Accounts are reviewed and approved by an admin — approval isn't automatic or guaranteed.
• You must provide accurate information and a genuine ID card. Submitting a fake, altered, or someone else's ID is a violation of these terms and grounds for immediate rejection or removal of your account.
• Schools, coaching institutes, colleges, and NGOs wanting accounts for many users at once should use our Book a Demo form for a paid/institutional plan instead of individual sign-ups.

2. Your account

• Keep your password confidential — you're responsible for activity under your account.
• One account per person. Don't share your login with others.
• We can suspend or revoke access for violation of these terms, misuse, or if an ID card is later found to be invalid.

3. Free plan vs. paid plans

AskAven's core chat, voice agent, and Knowledge Graph features are free for verified individual students and teachers, with no hidden fees. Schools, coaching institutes, and other organizations wanting bulk accounts, priority support, reporting, or custom branding can request a paid/institutional plan via our demo request form; pricing for those plans is quoted individually and isn't covered by these general terms — a separate agreement will apply.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use AskAven for anything illegal, harmful, or academically dishonest in ways that violate your school's/institute's own policies.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.
• Upload someone else's ID card or impersonate another person.
• Use the service to generate content that harasses, threatens, or harms others.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or admin systems.

5. AI-generated content

AskAven's answers, voice replies, and Knowledge Graphs are generated by AI (via our provider, Groq) and are meant to support your studying — not replace your teacher, textbook, or official exam guidance. AI can make mistakes. Always verify important facts, especially before an exam, and use your own judgment.

6. Availability

We aim to keep AskAven available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access — the service may be unavailable at times for maintenance, upstream AI-provider issues, or other reasons outside our control.

7. Intellectual property

AskAven's branding, design, and code belong to Aven Academy / Kartexa. Your questions and any material you upload remain yours — by using the service you give us permission to process them as described in our Privacy Policy solely to provide the service to you.

8. Limitation of liability

AskAven is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, including reliance on AI-generated answers. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

9. Termination

You can stop using AskAven and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including fraudulent ID verification.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as AskAven grows. Meaningful changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be handled in the courts having jurisdiction over Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
